Who I am
Sarah has been doing art since elementary school. She started off being trained by an artist who focused on contemporary human realism with an emphasis on color, form, and structure. As she grew as an individual, Sarah became interested in slightly more abstract character-oriented art and stories. She became highly interested in Asian influenced characters and traveled to Japan to start her University studies. She then transitioned back to the United States where she continued her studies focused on 2D art and animation. Sarah recognizes the appeal and push for 3D, yet she believes that a story told in 2D is more intricate, technical, and, if done well, universal to all mediums. While the majority of her work is for her own enjoyment, she creates work for commissions and for credit at Smith College.
